Rolla Shooting: Active shooter suspect arrested after shooting and pursuit

A suspect is now in custody following a harrowing incident that unfolded at a pharmacy in Rolla, Missouri, followed by a high-speed pursuit across Phelps County.

Rolla Police Chief Sean Fagan reported that the suspect entered Sinks Pharmacy on 10th Street armed with an AR-15 rifle, demanding drugs. During the altercation, the suspect shot an employee in the leg before fleeing the scene. Law enforcement swiftly responded, initiating a pursuit as the suspect headed eastbound on State Route BB.

Pursuit and Capture

The pursuit intensified near St. James, where the suspect turned and collided with both a sheriff’s vehicle and a police car before reversing course towards Rolla. To safely apprehend the suspect, authorities executed a pit maneuver, forcing the vehicle off the road. Fortunately, neither law enforcement officers nor the suspect sustained injuries during the arrest.
