Emilia Rennhack Deer Park Accident & Death: Emilia Rennhack, a resident of Brooklyn, New York, and a dedicated New York City police officer, tragically passed away in a devastating accident. The Suffolk County Police Department identified Emilia Rennhack, 30, along with three other victims of the SUV accident that struck a nail salon on Long Island. The incident claimed the lives of Jiancai Chen, 37, of Bayside, Queens; Yan Xu, 41, of Flushing, Queens; and Meizi Zhang, 50, also of Flushing, Queens, with nine others injured, including a 12-year-old girl.

The tragic event unfolded when an SUV crashed into Hawaii Nail & Spa on Grand Boulevard in Deer Park, where Rennhack, off-duty at the time, was getting her nails done. She served as a police officer in Queens’ 102nd Precinct. Her death was confirmed by the New York City Police Department.

Steven Schwally, the driver, faces charges of driving while intoxicated. He remains hospitalized, and charges are pending following the incident where his vehicle crossed Grand Boulevard, entered the salon parking lot, and crashed through its windows.
