Restaurant-Style Beef and Broccoli

Prepare Ingredients: Collect 1 lb of beef (sliced thinly), 2 cups of broccoli florets, 3 cloves of garlic (minced), 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, and 1/2 cup of beef broth.

Marinate Beef: In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with minced garlic, cornstarch, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Blanch Broccoli: Boil water in a pot and blanch the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

Stir-fry Beef: Heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the marinated beef until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Make Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the beef broth and bring it to a simmer. Add any remaining marinade from the beef, then stir in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons of water. Cook until the sauce thickens.

Combine Beef and Broccoli: Return the cooked beef to the skillet, along with the blanched broccoli florets. Stir to coat everything evenly with the sauce.

Final Seasoning: Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. You can add more soy sauce or brown sugar according to your taste preference.

Serve Hot: Once the beef and broccoli are heated through and well coated with sauce, remove from heat and serve immediately over steamed rice. Enjoy your flavorful Beef and Broccoli!
