Heavenly Angel Food Cake Recipe
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare Pan: In an ungreased tube pan, sift together 1 cup of cake flour and 3/4 cup of powdered sugar
Whip Egg Whites: In a large bowl, beat 12 egg whites until foamy.
Add Cream of Tartar: Mix in 1 1/2 teaspoons of cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
Gradually Add Sugar: Gradually add 1 cup of granulated sugar, beating until stiff peaks form
Fold in Flour Mixture: Gently fold in the flour mixture, 1/4 cup at a time, until fully incorporated.
Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared tube pan and smooth the top.
Bake: Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is lightly browned and springs back when touched
Cool: Invert the pan onto a cooling rack and let the cake cool completely before removing from the pan.
