Cube 1 pound of fresh fish (such as tilapia or snapper) and place in a bowl.

Add 1 cup of freshly squeezed lime juice, ensuring fish is fully covered.

Let marinate in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes until fish turns opaque.

Dice 1/2 red onion, 1 tomato, and 1 jalapeno, and finely chop 1/4 cup of cilantro.

Drain excess lime juice from the fish and mix with the diced vegetables.

Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of cumin to taste.

 Refrigerate for another 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Serve chilled with tortilla chips or on a tostada for a refreshing appetizer or light meal.
