Classic Shrimp Boil Recipe

Prepare Ingredients: Gather 2 lbs of shrimp (shell on), 4 ears of corn (cut into halves), 1 lb of small red potatoes, 1 lb of smoked sausage (sliced), 1 lemon (quartered), and seafood boil seasoning (such as Old Bay).

Boil Water: Fill a large pot with water and add seafood boil seasoning (about 1/4 cup). Squeeze in the lemon quarters and drop them into the pot. Bring to a boil.

Cook Potatoes: Add the potatoes to the boiling water and cook for about 10-12 minutes until they start to soften.

Add Corn and Sausage: Add the corn and sausage to the pot, cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes.

Add Shrimp: Finally, add the shrimp to the pot and cook until they turn pink, about 3-5 minutes.

Drain and Serve: Drain the shrimp boil mixture. Spread it out on a large platter or on a table covered with newspaper for a rustic presentation.

Season: Sprinkle with additional seafood boil seasoning if desired.

Serve with Butter: Serve hot with melted butter and lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy your delicious shrimp boil!
