Buttery and Flaky Scones: A Delicious Breakfast Treat

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mix 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

 Cut in 1/2 cup of cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

 In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of sour cream, and 1 large egg.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Gently knead the dough on a floured surface until it comes together.

Shape the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick, then cut into wedges.

 Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
